Former Spar Distribution Centre, Preston

Regeneration led mixed-use proposals on the site of an out-of-centre former SPAR distribution facility, comprising a new foodstore, new homes, refurbished homes, new community facilities, land and a new car park for a leisure centre, playspace for local schools, allotments, new highway works, landscaping and a new cycle way.

In negotiating the planning permission, loss of employment land, retail capacity and the distribution of large foodstores within the urban area of Preston, and traffic and highway considerations were the key issues which were resolved.

East Street Shopping Centre

This scheme involved the redevelopment of a vacant 1970’s multi-level shopping centre within Southampton City Centre for a new Class A1 foodstore of 5,534 sqm gross, associated multi-level parking, and significant public realm enhancements including the provision of a new pedestrianised street. Other detailed site planning considerations, including community engagement, were addressed in securing the planning permission.
